SAME WILL HAPPEN HERE IN CNMI. HOW CAN IT BE DIFFERENT HERE THAN IN MAINLAND USA.
Hidden Costs; not discussed in polite company
As the financial costs grow, few speak about job losses and wages depressed for America's working poor. "Unemployment" proves a touchy subject, so the official numbers continue being grossly understated. In truth, 14-18 million U.S. citizen-taxpayers endure unemployment. They head to the unemployment lines, soup kitchens, homelessness and food stamps. Their family members suffer endlessly, but the "progressive" media maintains "silent assertion."
Do not forget the middle class! They suffer job losses in roofing, dry-walling, construction, cab driving, landscaping, house painting, paving and restaurant work – just to name a few. We must also remember that each of these "breadwinners" usually features a spouse-partner, a few kids, and aging parents.
Ask yourself this question. With more than 20 million "migrants" doing THIS MUCH DAMAGE, what happens to American workers and communities tomorrow, and the next day – when we add another 10 or 20 or 30 million more illegal aliens into our country?
If you are not enraged, you are part of the problem. USA DOES NOT WANT MORE IMMIGRANT, LOW SKILL JOB WORKERS.

TAOTAO TANO'S DEMAND ANSWERS
Suggested Questions:
1. How many local jobs will be created with Cohen Federalization Plan????
If long term non-resident workers will be allowed to compete with LOCAL residence for jobs - will they not TAKE JOBS FROM LOCALS??
2. How much willl the COHEN PLAN cost locals? He has already stated that FAS FINANCIAL support was NEVER a contractual agreement with DOI. Weasing out of WHO PAYS? SIMPLE QUESTION - HOW MUCH WILL THIS COST???
3. Has any study been undertaken that specifies HOW MANY LONG TERM RESIDENTS WILL STAY AND HOW MANY WILL LEAVE??
4. If the long term resident workers leave, and their are no appropriate skills or jobs willing to be assumed by locals, who will do the work? If a Filipino mechanic choses to move to Guam, who repairs the cars in NMI. If we are able to HIRE a new mechanic, HOW MUCH WILL THIS COST TO PROCESS HIS APPLICATION given the fact that US Visa's issued in Philippines takes 9 months or more to get processed??? What is the cost of processing a NEW APPLICATION UNDER THE COHEN FEDERALIZATION PLAN???
5. How many of the potential 8000 long term residence have education skills that would allow them to enter into the US if it were NOT for the COHEN PLAN? What education skills do maids, cleaners, auto repairmen, delivery drivers have that would allow them to enter into US economy that would not be afforded them if they merely went back to their HOME COUNTRY AND APPLIED.

TAOTAO TANO'S OPINION
COHEN AND STAYMAN, THE TAOTAO TANO ARE WATCHING YOU!.We knew from the very beginning that this Federalization issue is nothing but Lies and deception. Our problems with our local Labor and Immigration System is minimal compared to the United States. I have said that the Department of Interior/Insular Affairs David Cohen and Allan Stayman have been building a case against the CNMI for they are opportunist, and in need of an excuse, Its all about business and Money. I've always said that the United States Federal Government has discriminated upon the indigenous local population of the CNMI, U.S. Citizens. At first it was of National Securty, but you find Mr. Cohen in the Philippines negotiating business opportunities to FOREIGN NATIONALS, ALIENS and leaving the United States Citizens at the end of the Line. He is infact for the ALIENS. The BUSH ADMINISTRATION HAS TURNED ITS BACK ON AMERICANS, SHAME ON YOU! Like I SAID our island is not a STEPPING STONE TO ANYONE and YOU CAN TAKE THAT BACK TO PRESIDENT BUSHWACKER. BRING HOME THOSE AMERICAN SOLDIERS who are dying for nothing for a country that has turned its back on them! I've always said COHEN AND STAYMAN are doing the opposite, our American Soldiers are defending our Nation and this two characters are busy unlocking the back gates!

THANK YOU U.S. CONGRESS FOR THE OPPORTUNITY TO TESTIFY AND BE HEARD
VISITING U.S. Congresswoman Donna Christensen says the pressure to federalize the Northern Marianas in Washington, D.C. is mounting and her pending federalization bill is likely to pass.
“There’s a lot of support…from the White House and the Department of the Interior so it has a fair chance of passage,” said Christensen, D-V.I. and chairwoman of the U.S. House Subcommittee on Insular Affairs which will conduct a public hearing today on her federalization bill, H.R. 3079, or the Northern Mariana Islands Immigration, Security and Labor Act.
“We hope that we can make a bill that, in the final analysis, will allow us to all come to a consensus,” she said in an interview during the dinner reception on Monday night hosted by Gov. Benigno R. Fitial for the visiting U.S. lawmakers.
With Christensen is Congresswoman Madeleine Bordallo, D-Guam, chairwoman of the U.S. House Subcommittee on Fisheries, Wildlife and Oceans; and Congressman Eli Faleomavaega, D-American Samoa, chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on Asia and the Pacific.
Christensen said they want to hear from the people of the Northern Marianas before they act on H.R. 3079.
“We’re here to hear what the governor has to say and what the community has to say. We would be very interested in (the governor’s) title by title analysis and section by section analysis of the bill,” she said.
“You know, there’s nothing better than seeing first hand (the situation) so I’m glad that Chairwoman (Madeleine) Bordallo, who chairs a different subcommittee, and I are here. We will be joined by Eli Faleomavaega, the chairman of the subcommittee on Asia and the Pacific,” she added. “The three of us will be here for the hearing.”
Fitial has submitted written testimony against the bill.
He said its provision granting nonimmigrant status to a select group of long-time guest workers will disenfranchise the indigenous people.
But Christensen said they have given the bill much thought in ensure that it will not adversely impact the islands’ economy.
“We want to make sure that when we pass the bill that we’ve taken into consideration all of the concerns and all of the problems that it might cause,” she said. “We don’t want to create problems for the CNMI. We don’t want to have an adverse impact. We want ways to be helpful.”
Asked about the possibility of amending her bill to accommodate the governor’s recommendations, Christensen said: “It depends on what the amendment might be. You have to realize that this is a bill that has been introduced in the Senate as well as in the House. It has to pass both places and there’s a lot of sentiment, including from the Department of the Interior, in support of the bill.”
Christensen’s group met today with local lawmakers.
Speaker Oscar M. Babauta, Covenant-Saipan, said the breakfast meeting was held at the Fiesta Resort & Spa.
He said some lawmakers expressed strong opposition to the bill’s nonimmigrant status provision.
“Several members asked (Christensen) not to support that,” said the speaker.
“Some of us echoed fears of the bill’s impact on the commonwealth’s education, health, public safety and other services offered by the government,” he added.THE BOTTOME LINE IS MR. COHEN SPENT MOST OF HIS TIME VISITING NON-RESIDENTS AND REFUSES TO MEET WITH THE INDIGENOUS TAOTAO TANOS THE PAST 3 VISITS TO NMI.
